Offset Sources:
- Northern Power Systems (NPS), arranged a donation of emission reductions from a project they did for TDX
Power (TDX Project at Saint Paul Island, Alaska) that offset over 200% of all of
the event's pollutants except CO2
- Leonardo Academy donated 20 Green Tags purchased from Bonneville
Environmental Foundation (BEF) and retired them through our Cleaner and
Greener Program to help offset the emissions (except SO2)
caused by this event. BEF Green Tags are certifed by the Green-e Renewable
Energy Program and are 100% new wind and solar energy. One BEF Green Tag is
$20, is equivalent of 1,000 kWh of electricity and offsets 1,400 pounds of
CO2 annually. We used Washington State fossil-fuel only emission factors for
NOx, PM10, PM2.5, and
Hg.
- Philips Lighting North America donated CO2 emission
reductions from one of their internal manufacturing facility energy
efficiency projects reported through the Cleaner and Greener Certification
Program.
- Johnson Controls Inc.
donated CO2 emission reductions
from one of their internal facility energy efficiency projects reported
through the Cleaner and Greener Certification Program..
