Offset Sources donated through the Cleaner and Greener Program to offset World Workplace 2003 Conference emissions

• Dupont Antron (Invista Inc.) donated year 2003 vintage emission reductions of 37,823 pounds of nitrous oxide (N₂O) emissions resulting from an emissions reduction project at the Sabine River Works plant in Orange, TX. Using U.S. EPA global warming potential equivalence factors, this has the same global warming reduction impact as a reduction of 11.7 million pounds of CO₂ emissions.
• Leonardo Academy donated and retired emission reductions to offset the SO₂ emissions caused by this event. Source: U.S. EPA SO₂ Allowance Serial Number 200200199987 purchased by the Cleaner and Greener Program in 2002.
• Johnson Controls Inc. donated emission reductions from internal facility energy efficiency projects
• Philips Lighting North America donated emission reductions from internal manufacturing facility energy efficiency projects
• Donations will continue to be gathered to support emission offsets from Conference Attendees, Exhibitors, and Sponsors. Donations of $32 per attendee (Based on 4,500 attendees) would let us offset the emissions covered by the energy use associated with this event by 200% (Based on an estimated cost to buy green power certificates = 2.0 cents per kWh)
