Cleaner and Greener® for Schools

Schools, teachers, students, and families can help reduce pollution through the Cleaner and Greener Environment Program. Cleaner and Greener provides K-12 schools with curriculum materials, resources, activities, and recognition to spark student interest and educational achievement.

    * If you are a student, download our checklists:
          o Home Energy Savings Checklist  
          o School Energy Savings Checklist
          o Once you have completed a checklist, report your points.

    * If you are a teacher, register to obtain a group ID number that we can use to track your class' achievements on the energy saving checklists. Then, encourage your students to download and complete the Cleaner and Greener Home Energy Savings Checklist and the School Energy Savings Checklist. Participating classes will be recognized on the Cleaner and Greener website for their achievements as follows:

        Bronze: 10% - 30% of class participates
        Silver: 31% - 80% of class participates
        Gold: More than 80% of class participates

    *If you are a principal, facility manager, or superintendent, Cleaner and Greener wants to recognize your school for its efficient use of energy. We will help report, highlight, and publicize the benefits of past or planned energy efficiency improvements in your school. Cleaner and Greener Certification will help your school communicate its environmental commitment to students, parents and the community. More Information.
