Leonardo Academy is a
charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in January
of 1997 in Madison, Wisconsin. The mission of the
Academy is to support and provide programs that put the
competitive marketplace to work on improving the environment.
This includes a commitment towards advancing sustainability and
reducing pollution. Leonardo Academy uses a thorough
understanding of policy, economics, and scientific and technical
issues to improve the environment. Environmental improvement
vehicles include education, analysis, consumer programs, and the
development of innovative approaches to public policy
implementation.
Leonardo Academy is
influenced by the spirit and imagination of Leonardo daVinci—the
great Italian Renaissance artist, scientist, inventor, engineer,
and naturalist whose ideas and discoveries continue to amaze and
inspire. Like daVinci, Leonardo Academy employs an
interdisciplinary approach in its research and work to make our
environment a cleaner, greener, and healthier place to live.
Leonardo Academy makes it easy for businesses, organizations,
and individuals to act directly to reduce pollution, reward
pollution reduction actions, and lead the way to a cleaner
environment.
